Buster has a really soft coat and pointy whiskersand Daisy has a coarser coat with whiskers that look like they havebeen singed in a fire and are kind of curly looking. Since sexing thebucks and does in the litter - it seems like the bucks are the same astheir Dad and the does are like their Mum. Is this a trait in rabbitsor is it just a coincidence? Why are my does whiskers like this? Justcurious :p

These traits are certainly genetic."Curly" whiskers are most common in Rex furredbreeds. It may be more by chance that the does happened toinherit mom's whiskers -- bucks can have curly whiskers as well.

Vickie,

I bet you examine every inch of those little babies and study them all the time.

Thanks for the question; and thank you, Pam, for the answer.

I found this post most interesting as today I noticed Fauna's whiskerslooked singed. It's wild when you have a question and then check theboard and someone's got it up there.

Thanks again, Ladies!

:)
