Vent Disease?

At the last show the judge noticed what she thought could be vent disease.

So toda I rechecked her..and her vent is red..and when i press down..its deep red with purple. Not what it should look like.

I am aware of taking her to the vet and I plan to..But is this what it s just from describing? I raise English Lops..this doe is 4.5months old. Perfect health other then this new thing.

And the vet I have is knowledgable..but is there anthing I can suggest to the vet??

Yes it is curable. If the vet doesn't know about vent disease, then he is not a knowledgeable vet. It is treated with injectible Pen G--usually bicillin, a combo of pen G benzathine and procaine. I think the course is 150k units every other day for a week or two.
