I do have one question for anybody out there that knows the answer, isit possible to house a mother/daughter combo? I would like to keep oneof the babies but I don't have room for any more cages right now so Iwould like to keep a female and room her with Fergi. Is this possible? Thanks for any help! We love our little babies!

And here are two that show how huge Ben's ears are, at least I thinkthey look huge. They remind me of the wings on an airplane, I love howhe uses them for balance.

Fergis mom, these are just wonderful pictures. Isit just me, or does Ben look like a real proud Daddy? Fergilooks well - I love the expression on her face when she is eating thebanana. Looks like the babies are going to have daddy's ears- Jan

YES! the babies ears are big, butthey are adorable! They are going to be so! pretty. I am still workingon getting the pics of my babies or should I say bugsy's babies(mygrandbabies) lol.!

Thanks everyone! It is so hard for me to not bepeeking in on them all of the time but the way Fergi's nest box is setup I don't have very easy access, she blocks the entrance:shock:and when I tip the house up all of her hard workspills out:(Today I actually took her out, took the babiesout, and removed all of the bedding and the nest she had made. (I tookout all the fur) I then cleaned the whole cage really well, took aYatzee box that fit perfectly in the nest box and lined it withcor-plast, bedding, hay, and Fergi's fur. Slipped the babies in andgave Fergi a bunch of clean hay and bedding and she went straight towork pushing all of the stuff into the nestingbox. It'sreally cute, she is very diligent. I figure it will be easier for me toget the babies out in the Yatzee box, easier to put them back in too. Ikept worrying that I would smoosh one of the babies under the edge ofthe nesting box.:shock:This is so much fun!!!!

I have to say, Bugs trusts me very much. when shehad her babies she would move out of the way for me to get the babiesout and check on them! I love her and her babies. STILL trying to getthe pics posted! have a great time with your new babies!!:)

How much does Fergi weigh? She actuallylooks more the a mini lop (I thought one of the previous posts saidHolland, but maybe I'm just mixing rabbits up).

Pam

Pamnock, I thought she was a broken agoutiholland lop. She weighs about four pounds give or take a few ounces. How small are the mini lops? I don't know anything about bunny breeds(although I am picking up a lot here!). I bought her at a fair and Idon't think I paid any attention to what kind she was. All I caredabout was that she was the cutest little thing I had ever seen. My sonGabe who was three at the time was holding her, he looks at me and says"Mama, I love her." Well I have the softest heart for my son and foranimals so I just had to have her. It is only through this forum that Ihave really learned to appreciate my buns for all that they are. Thisplace has made owning rabbits a truly enjoyable experience! After all,I started with one and now have eight

She looked so big in the photos that I thoughtshe might be a Mini. The normally range from 4 1/2 to 6 1/2pounds. The Chestnut color is more common in the Minis, although cetainly no unusual in the Hollands. Her head alsolooks more like that of a Mini.
