Something is wrong with Johnny's Eye

Hello - I am new here but I just wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with rabbits and problem eyes.
Our rabbit, Johnny has what seems to be a white hole in his eye and a film over it as well. This happened over night and it is concerning me so bad.
My husband recently lost work so I don't have money for a high vet bill and I've contacted local rescues with no response....
What are your thoughts, guys??

Does the eye have a hole in it or is it a white spot on the eye?

I dont have any experience with eye problems. Hopefully a mod will be around soon to help.
