This is an honest-to-goodness question; please don't laugh (too hard)....
How often would you say that your rabbits (and cats, if you have them) scratch at their faces/ears each day? (I ask under the assumption that you observe them somewhat daily.)
A mite problem started for us last Oct. '08; the wrong treatment protocol was prescribed for us, so the problem dragged out for three months' until we increased the frequency of the the medication (just Revolution at the time). But by then, even dosing them on Revolution every two weeks' didn't stop the scratching; it always increased a day or two before the next dosage.
At this point, we've twice chemically treated our home. We're still medicating the animals a bit longer; we're unsure if the problem is gone. At this point, though, I can't recall what a "normal" amount of scratching even is. (Sad, but true.)
