Red or Castor?

Hi,

My stepdaughter brought me two bunnies that needed a home. They areRex, females, and I think they are red and opal, but am not sure.Thanks.

What color is the coat when you blow intoit? (Castor has a slate blue color at the base). Itcould also be a chocolate castor which would account for the lighterticking.

I doubt that it's a red unless it's extremely smutty. Redslighten at the base of the coat when you blow into it. Itshouldn't have the slate blue color that a castor has.

Most likely Opal unless its a very dark smuttyfawn or lynx. What color do you see when you blow into thecoat? Opal should have a bluish uncolor like theCastor. Fawn/Lynx are generally very light at the base.

The red is light colored when I blow it, the opal is dark.

Can you get photos of the coat when you blowinto it? Look in various places on the coat (opals sometimeshave poor undercolor and are white in some areas).

Then it is most likely a smutty red and an opal.
