Moss is a senior buck who's about 6 1/2 pounds, and born March 15, 2012. The breeds Moss could be are: Lionhead, French Angora, or Jersey Wooly, all crossbreed/mix with something else. Someone also said that he could be a mini lop or a fuzzy lop mixed with a lionhead. That's pretty much all I know. If you have any idea what breed he could be, please leave a comment or PM me!
I first got Moss from a breeder that I found on craigslist that was advertising rabbits for $10. She explained to me that she has gotten Moss from another person at a rabbit swap, and insisted he was a Jersey Wooly.
The breeder's set up was basically a medium-sized greenhouse with rusty cages piled up high to the ceiling. I know that you're not supposed to get rabbits from a breeder that doesn't have a good breeding program, but since these rabbits didn't have a good home and they are destined to become meat, I decided to rescue Moss and Zaeo and give them a better life as show bunnies!
Moss got his name for two reasons: 1. At the time I got him, I was reading a book series, and in it was a type of moss called rabbit's ear moss. It was supposed to be as soft as the fur that grows on rabbit's ears! 2. When I got him, his fur had a 'greenish' tinge to it, and it looked kind of like moss!
