Leith Petwerks Chew Guards too big?

Heya, I was wonderin if anyone had this problem.

I got a new 48 in Bunny Abode Condo from www.leithpetwerks.com
I got the 48 in Condo Chew Guards too, but the problem is it's too big for the width of the cage.

The chew guards are 4 pieces of wood that go inside the inner ridges of the cage. Like this http://www.leithpetwerks.com/Cat_images/CH100.jpg

My chew guards can't fit within the width and can only sit on top of the ridges rather than touch the floor of the cage.

Has anyone had this problem?

Hmmm.. I haven't experienced this problem personally, but couldn't you just saw a bit off each end to allow the guards to lie flush with eachother?
