I need some suggestions, We raise Havanas, Dutch, Mini Rex and Himalayans, and we have a few rabbits that have lost a significant amount of weight in the last month. The feed has not changed, normal stool, eating and drinking normally. We wormed everyone about 5 weeks ago just because we show and some of our coats were getting dull, and now I have about 6 rabbits out of 50 that are really thin.

We gave everyone a dose of electrolytes on Monday and now I am supplementing the really thin ones with oats and pumpkin.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for the help.

It could be a bout of parasites affecting your entire herd. I believe it is common to de-worm with fenbendazole or ivermectin. I'll hunt this down.

edit: of course, the best thing is to take a fecal sample to the vet and have them do a fecal float on it to determmne what internal parasite is causing it, since not all antiparasitics are effective against all internal parasites.
