How do you tell if a bun is pregnant?

Before I run straight to the vets, is there anyway to check for sure that a bunny is pregnant? How soon after matingcan you tell? And, finally, how long after mating is it safe for thebunny to ger spayed?

Look up "rabbit palpating" and you'll find outhow to tell if she pregnant. I usually palpate on the 15th day, but notafter. Why would you want to get her spayed after she was bred? Won'tthat kill the babies?
