We had our year old bunny castrated last week - the op went well and he has since had a visit to the vet and is healing nicely. However, in the last 2 days he has been acting strange. He has the run of the garden in the day and is put in his hutch at night. He has started stamping his feet in the early evening for no reason, he shredded all his paper last night, tipped his water bowl over, tipped his food bowl over and emptied his litter tray out all over the hutch - basically his hutch was trashed throughout the night. He seems to get really hyperactive really quickly and even when he's in the garden he just races round and round until he is tired out. I thought that getting him fixed would calm him down, but it seems to be doing the opposite. is this just a passing phase or is he going to be like this forever?

It could just be a phase. Neuters will *usually* calm a rabbit down but it takes a month or more for the hormones to decrease after the surgery.
