do rabbits usually have hard or generally mushy tummies when you touch them.... is it something i should be concerned about?

he should be going to the vet fora checkup soon...

Some rabbits will tense their belly muscles when you touch them, making the stomach feel hard.

A full cecum can also make the stomach feel hard as can a distended bladder.

Health problems such as mucoid enteropathy can also cause a hard pot-belly.

A very relaxed rabbit can feel very mushy in the stomach.

If all else seems well (eating & pooping), I wouldn't be overly concerned.

oh hes a monster when it comes to food and water. and hes definitely a pooping machine. so i was just wondering.he generally doesnt like it when i touch his tummy, expecially when hes lying down, but it seemed pretty hard. i didnt squeeze too hard but when i did squeeze a little he pooped... so i dont know. hes going to the vet anywyas for his first check up... but i was just wondering. hes not overweight or anyting, hes always out, doesnt have alfalfa hay, has pellets, lots of fruits and veggies. and when he lies down he sort of has a little belly hanging out. but im not sure if thats anything....

btw hes about 1.5 years old and mini rex if that gives you any idea...
