Good sign or bad sign? Could be either..

The bonding between Benji and Pippin is going VERY well. It's getting better and better each day.

Now Pippin rarely tries to hump Benji, and Benji barely ever nips Pippin's feet as he wanders past. They flop next to each other and groom incessantly

Today though, Benji ran over to a few of Pippin's droppings (I know they were Pippin's because he had just done them), and they were soft.
Anyway- Benji sniffed them for a few seconds, and then ate a few.

Is this a good sign or a bad sign with bonding? Or just neutral?
