My partners bunny, who I also take care of has fur falling out in a almost horizontal tide mark arround its sides and back. It doesnt appear itchy at all, but has tiny white flakes of (I think) skin in the fur that is being combed.

I will make sure she goes to the vet, but anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing it, environmental or illness wise?

Thanks in advance x

White flakes are frequently a sign of fur mite infestation. Fur will often fall out in the manner described during a normal molt, but the presence of skin flakes makes me think mites. That requires treatment that only the vet can prescribe. She should also clean the environment, such as carpet, upholstery, etc that the bunny may have been in contact with to prevent reinfection. Steam cleaning should do the trick. Good luck!
