If I breed my black Dutch doe to my Florida White buck, will the offspring be good meat rabbits? I heard that Dutches were already pretty good meat rabbits, but Florida Whites are right at the top of the list when it comes to meat. So tell me... would that make a good crossbred litter?

Any breed of rabbit can be eaten.

Are they just for your comsumption? The Dutch x Florida Whitetake longer to get to fryer weight, so generally larger breeds such as New Zealands are used for meat production.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that they're only going to be for us. We usually wait till they are twelve weeks for our Dutches. I just want to see if I can get a really nice litter, because I've never tried crossbreeding for this stuff.
