Droppings smells more!

Hi!

I don't know if my rabbit is sick, but I don't know where to post this.

Suddenly my rabbits droppings/urine started to smell MORE.
More like poo. Why is that?

I'm giving her the same food everyday.

Is it dangerous?

if the poops look like very small clusters of tiny grapes and are very sticky they are called cecal pellets. Normally a rabbit will ingest these pellets as they are vitamin rich.

if this is what you are describing it is normal.... occasionally a rabbit will produce more than he needs if his diet is protein rich


if your bun is a babywho is growing into adolescence there will also be a change in the odor of the urine and fecals as the rabbit matures

neutering/spaying the rabbit will help eliminate the odor

The poop has a normal size, the bunny is spayed (in july).

If the poop is a normal size and texture and is not wet and mushy I would not worry about it.

If the poop is wet, runny, mushy and smelly thenI would recommend taking him to the vet and having a stool sample tested

Different smells in poop can also indicate a parasitic disease. There is a saying that coccidia cause a very specific smell to the droppings.
