We got our newly adopted bun today, a 2 year old male lop (we are thinking either Holland or Mini, not sure). His colors are very black/white

Anyway, he's settling in nicely, but we noticed that the bottom of his feet seem to be quite dirty, and yellow looking. I noticed the litter box he had, when we went to adopt him, seemed dirty as well, so I'm guessing it's urine on his feet?

Here's some pictures:

Anyway, should I do anything about it, or let it be? I don't know if I should try to clean his feet or not?

He does have a vet appointment next week, but in the meantime I didn't know about his poor feet?

When I got my first bun, he had dirty feet too. I didn't wash his feet as I didn't want him to stress.

I just left his feet and after a while of living in a clean environment, his paws were nice and clean again :)

I'm not sure if anyone else here has other ways of doing it, but I just waited and in time, he was all good :)

Yep, it's just urine staining. You could try wiping his feet with a unscented wipe, but likely it won't come off. You really just have to wait it out until the staining goes away, it will gradually fade with time and will be gone completely once he's gone through a molt.

His feet look in good condition otherwise, sometimes if they're sitting in wet litter they can get sore hocks, but he looks good.

Thanks, I had heard of sore hocks so I was worried about that!
