What's normal hay? Because depending on where you are will determine that.

The 2 I know about are Timothy and Alfalfa. Timothy is high in fiberand has less of the stuff that bunnies don't need to be eating.Normally rabbits should be on this type of hay around 8 months to ayear I believe. Alfalfa is fed to babies and growing bunnies because ithas extra nutrients that a growing rabbit will use up but an adultrabbit does not need all these nutrients and can actually be of moreharm than good. Alfalfa pellets plus alfalfa hay is too rich of a dietfor a bunny.

Varna, Timothy hay is difficult to get here inthe UK, unless you buy it on-line. However, Pets at home now stock it,but it's expensive. I have always used meadow hay, and have never hadany problems with it, and Pernod and Perry seem to preferittoTimothy- Jan
