Blood in litter box

Hi,
i have a four year old, half Flemish giant who has recently had a seizure. A few days ago I found what looks like blood splattered inside the litter box and the only other time I've seen this is a few days before his seizure.
I called the vet immediately in fear he might have another. Sometimes he backs his bum up against the side and the pee will go down like this but they couldn't find anything and there is no blood in his urine.
Does anyone no what this might be from? He doesn't have any cuts and it's in an odd spot.

Did you check to see if he lost a toe nail?

I agree, check for a broken nail. But if it is in his urine, I would get him to the vet right away.

I checked him over last night but I'll check his nails this evening to see thanks!
