Can't find WoodyPet anywhere nearme:XMy feed store sells pine shavings or aspen pellets. Wouldthe aspen pellets be ok? That is only $15 for a 50lb bag. I wouldreally like to find something that works well since I have six kitsthat are making a BIG mess everyday!

o_O I have used pine shavings for all my animalsand have never have any problems. I think there are several otherpeople who use pine as well. I have never heard anything bad about it..it's the cedar you have to watch out for.

As far as apsen, I have never heard anything, pro or con about it.

There is controversy over pine shavings. However,I use pine shavings because no conclusion about it has been reached. It's cedar shavings that under no circumstances should be used.

Last "source" I read said pine pellets andshavingswere okay. WoodyPet "cooks" thehydrocarbons that might be problematic out of their product.Cedar products seem to be unquestionably detrimental whenused in conjunction with urine or in poorly ventilated areas.

I think aspen might be okay, but an not sure. Anyone else sure?
