I probably should have said this better.
I would vanodine the scissors (I'm assuming if you're a breeder youhave vanodine - if not...um...maybe take a flame to them to kill anygerms and then let them cool before cutting the cord??).....
Then I would cut as close to the baby as possible...you could also usean exacto knife if need be although I'd be a nervous wreck with that.
If the baby starts to bleed at all - maybe use a tiny bit of flour tostop the bleeding. I know there is some sort of "quickstop" stuff youcan use but I don't tend to keep it on hand.
