Angoras

Please excuse my ignorance, but I have some curiosity that needs to be filled.
What are the differences between English & German Angoras?
They are bred for their wool.. is there really a BIG demand for it?
When the rabbit is sheared, what happens next? Is the loose wool sold or do the people themselves turn it into yarn, I suppose with a special machine?
Before shearing, does the rabbit get really hot with all that hair? So steps would need to be taken to make sure they stay cool more so than other rabbits with less hair?
After typing these questions out, they seem a bit silly, but my curiousity doesn't care

The German is actually more similar to the Giant Angora in the US and many Giants that I've judged have actully been German hybrids.

Some people sell the raw wool, others use the wool they've harvested for spinning.
