I just wanted to ask everyone to think about/pray for the city of Pittsburgh and the family of Mayor Bob O'Connor.
Last night (September 1st) at 8:55 PM the mayor of Pittsburgh (myhometown) passed away after being diagnosed with a rare form of braincancer only 2 months ago. He was born and raised in Pittsburgh. Heworked in the Steel Mills for many years before being laid off and thendeciding to run for office.
He was a true Pittsburgher who was proud of his city and he gave other people a reason to be proud.
He lived in the neighborhood I currently live in and frequented acoffee shop that I often study in. I got to meet him a few times and healways had a smile on his face. He always made time to chat with peoplewho were in the shop and ask everyone how they were doing. He evenpatiently listened to complaints on a few occasions.
He will be missed.
Here are some nice articles on Pittsburgh's mayor:

CNN also created a lovely video tribute.
Thanks,
Amy
