Hey im new in this forum amd im the proud owner of zukini , a dwarf rabbit his age is unknown. Ive had him for 1 year and id like to know some things

1. My rabbit is in its cage all day long except when i take him to his room. Is there a way that he gets less bored?

2. Can i do activities like watch tv with him? Like is there a way he would be comfortable on me?

3. How can i get a good relation with him so when i come back from school he is happy to see me?

Thanks and sorry gor the mistakes, wrote this on my ipod touch...

Rabbits shouldn't be kept in a cage all day . it makes life very depressing and boring for him. it would be like a person who had to stay in a small cell all the time.

There are really cool types of condos that you can build for a bunny

Some of us (me) keep our rabbits in fenced in areas indoors without a cage but with a litterbox, food and water bowls and lots of toys.
I will give you some links to look at and if you stay on the forum you can discover how other rabbit owners keep their rabbits really happy

All of these articles are in the library at the bottom of the forum page. these articles came out of bunny care and behavior.

lots more to read that will help :)

Do you have things in his cage he can chew and play with? That will help with him being bored but he does still need time out of his cage.

I think he would enjoy watching TV with you as long as he feels safe. You could sit on the floor with him while you watch TV or sit him on your lap. If you sit him on your lap I would let him find a comfortable spot. I think different bunnies like to sit and be held different ways. Just see what he likes.

Spending time with him will help build a relationship. If he is still shy I would sit on the floor with him and watch TV, read, or do homework. He will be curious and come check you out and learn to trust you. You can also feed him treats or vegetables from your hand and play with toys you have for him. If he is not totally comfortable with you I would not pick him up and sit him on a chair to watch TV with you. I would start out on the floor and then once he got comfortable then put him in the chair with me to watch TV. I have a shy bunny and I know it would make her very nervous if I sat here in the chair with me to watch TV. But she loves to eat out of my hand and play with toys. She just doesn't like to be picked up. See what your bun is comfortable with and watch his body language to make sure his is comfortable and feels safe.
