a constant sniffing noise

hi all

molly is my new srrian hamster

she is consanly making a noise like if we hold our breathe and breathe out about 4 times but its constant

i dont no if its something that hamsters do or if she has a cold

please try and help

She may have an upper respiratory infection(URI). I would get her to the vet to check it out to be safe, they canbe deadly and these little guys down downhill fast. You shouldn't beable to hear her breathing.

spoke to my vet neil who had said he wasnt concerned in any way itsthem comunicating with each other and molly getting abit frisky

as re toffee running around the cage he said he was just a tippical hamster going threw sexual merturity

believe it or not but molly has stopped sniffing as much

i put it down to the paper bedding i was using

i dont no can hamsters have allergies
