Just been reading some reports and had a chat with some friends who are doctors and pharmacists. The results seen from falcarinol (a natural pesticide which occurs in carrots) it cuts down tumors in labratory rats by a third.
Perhaps Benjamin Rabbit had it right...

It can't hurt to throw a carrot a day in to your rabbits food.

Here's a hyped up media report.

Carrots are high in sugars. I think maybe a piece of carrot might be ok, but even that can be bad for some bunnies that have sensitive systems.

Very interesting tho.

I agree that a small piece is fine but there are a lot of risks withdisruption to the GI tractif giving a lot of carrot...........

Yeah, one baby carrot a day is fine, but that probably doesn't have as much falcarinol in it as they dosed the rats with. It could be a good new anticancer drug though, if they could make the carrots produce more or synthesize it chemically.
