    Peeing in hay box

Some days my rabbits pee in the box and some they don't. I always interpreted it as if they pee in the box it's b/c they're mad at something I did (put the hay on the wrong side of the mat, etc.). I use a step in hay box and then I also put hay in their litter box - they eat out of both.

    Recently Sexually Matured Bunny

WOW I have 2 boys (both have been neutered as soon as they could) and I am truly grateful that I never got sprayed - in the mouth?! Wow you are deepely devoted! My vet almost wouldn't neuter one of my boys b/c he was so tiny - he was considered a double dwarf and she thought the procedure might...

    Wood blocks - nontreated, safe?

I've never heard of that wood/tree either. I did not know that twigs were to be "baked" before giving to rabbits. I only get "organic" apple twigs to give my rabbits. Now I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong...it's the only thing that they truly like to chew....

Cricket, Pumpkin & Zip have stopped eating their hay!!! HELP

OK I will keep the hay and spray with apple juice to see if they eat it better. Will reduce the amount of pellets to make them hungry. I've tried timothy hay (botanical) from Oxbow and they just dont' seem to dig it. None of the bunnies really like to chew on toys per se = I found Cricket...

Cricket, Pumpkin & Zip have stopped eating their hay!!! HELP

So you don't think I should return the hay and go back to Alfalfa? Igave them what I had left of the Alfalfa last night (barely a full hay box) and it was GONEquickly. LOVE the idea of the apple juice - will try that tonight!

Cricket, Pumpkin & Zip have stopped eating their hay!!! HELP

Now that is one organized bunny. Cricket was 100% litter box trained when she joined our family. Unfortunately, the boys attitude is a liter what? So they poop anywhere they like - thank goodness bunny poop is not messy. I will try moving the hay to a different type of box - it can't hurt to try...

Cricket, Pumpkin & Zip have stopped eating their hay!!! HELP

The weird thing is that I give them fresh hay twice a day in their hay box as well as in their litter boxes so it's available to them but they just won't eat. I'm glad that they're eating their pellets but concerned b/c I know that they're hungry - they clean out their entire salad box (which I...

Cricket, Pumpkin & Zip have stopped eating their hay!!! HELP

I thought they were just becoming picky eaters and I tried to approach it like I do my kids - it's not working. I was adding some botanical hay which is the timothy based and that really didn't make a difference. It seems like its all or nothing for them. I really appreciate your response - it's...

Cricket, Pumpkin & Zip have stopped eating their hay!!! HELP

OK I switched my bunnies from Alfalfa Hay (as instructed) to Orchard Grass which is supposed to the closest thing to Alfalfa but without the fat. The first couple of days of the transition seemed to go well but once I switched to strictly to Orchard Grass they dropped their hay intake from 2...

What brand of feed do you use?

I use Oxbow everything - pellets (Timothy based), orchard grass and treats. My bunnies go CRAZY for their barley biscuits.

Finally pictures of Cricket, Pumpkin & Zip

Cricket had a tough couple of weeks settling in - the other two bunnies were extremely protective and did not want to share "Mommy" with any other bunny. This actually worked out quite well b/c now ALL the bunnies get that much more lovin' from everyone in this house. At snack time though, Zip...

Finally pictures of Cricket, Pumpkin & Zip

Cricket has been a GOOD influence on the boys - theynow have between 2-4 salads a day consisting of (but not limited to) kale, romaine, parsley, cilantro, carrots, alfalfa sprouts, broccoli, spinach and mustard greens. The boys have been a BAD influence on Cricket with regards to using the...

Finally pictures of Cricket, Pumpkin & Zip

The solid orange bunny is Pumpkin - he's the alpha with a capital "A". Usually when there's a mess he's the first one I question. LOL He's affectionate too - gotten much better with sharing me with the other two bunnies.

Thank you for helping me - first time I have ever posted pictures! Zip got his name because he may be tiny but is so darn fast.

    Marking Issues & Blanket Question

Well that was a thought but my initial approach was if I did the entire carpet it would discourage them from finding a new spot. I was hoping to get them to pee only in the litter box. I'd hate to have to take away their free-roaming privileges.
