Rabbit eating poop (actual poop, not cecotropes)

I know some dogs eat their poop too so I suppose it’s just an animal thing! Thanks for your responses! :)

Rabbit eating poop (actual poop, not cecotropes)

She didn’t leave any more ceco’s after I cut down the pellets and fruit. I’m confused though, I’m not even giving her the amount of pellets that the pack recommends should be given according to the bunny’s weight. I was aware that bunnies stop eating hay as they prefer pellets which is why I was...

Rabbit eating poop (actual poop, not cecotropes)

Yes it wasn’t anything like a pinworm. Bunny berries? No I’m not talking about my bunny eating cecotropes. I’m talking about the actual poop the round one 😅

Rabbit eating poop (actual poop, not cecotropes)

Hello, just an update: I inspected my rabbits poop very carefully with my phone’s torch. I saw an ant like bug crawling on it. It wasn’t white. Just brown like an ant but not quite an ant either. It was just crawling on the surface of ONE poo. I saw another one on the floor and not on the poop...

Rabbit eating poop (actual poop, not cecotropes)

Since the last 3-4 days I noticed my 1+ year old female Holland lop (unspayed) smelling and licking and then eventually eating her poop. It’s not ceco’s, it’s the actual poop. She hasn’t done this before. She is very territorial and since she’s not fixed could that be the reason? Or is it a sign...

    Are my bunny’s eyes normal?

So I noticed ever since the day I got her she has hard very sparkly eyes. They’re not weepy, she has no other symptoms but they seem a little wet near the lower lid. The vet said don’t worry about it if there’s no discharge or redness etc. I’m attaching photos for you to see. I also want to...

    Apple Cider Vinegar for rabbits?

I had another question about sore hocks, wondering if you can help. To my utter horror I’ve discovered my bun has tiny sores on her feet 😭. Just when you think you’re taking great care of your rabbit ☹️😞.. long story short I use soft straw hay for bedding, with a pee pad placed under, however...

    Apple Cider Vinegar for rabbits?

Recently, the Rabbitery I got my bunny from recommended I dilute ACV in her water as I felt like she may have some sort of UTI..I want to know if anyone here has given their bunnies diluted ACV to drink? My bunny is a female and 11 months old. She is not spayed yet and since she was 7-8 months...

Where to buy Oxbow Garden Select Pellets in the UK?

Hello again! I have a question regarding my bunny. She seems to be leaving drops of urine wherever she sits. For instance I notice it on the couch or chair. It’s not a big puddle, it’s just a few drops. I have read it could be a UTI, E cuniculi, etc however she’s been doing it since quite a few...

Where to buy Oxbow Garden Select Pellets in the UK?

The thing with ordering off Amazon USA is the delivery cost is high and delivery time is also long..What brand of pellets would you recommend in the UK? I’ve heard Science Selective is good, Burgess also, but I liked Oxbow because the pellets are very thin and small. These other brands seem to...

Where to buy Oxbow Garden Select Pellets in the UK?

I wanted to know where I can buy these pellets from in the UK? Is there any online website? I looked on Amazon but can only see the Oxbow young bunny pellets. My bunny has tried garden select before and absolutely loved them so I want to get those for her. I live outside the UK and USA. A friend...

Emergency! Please advise (out of hay temporarily)

Thank you for your response. We made it through the night! And the new hay has arrived! I definitely need to learn from this and plan better and next time check if the hay is moldy beforehand to avoid these type of situations. I’m also going to try and get good quality pellets as well.

Emergency! Please advise (out of hay temporarily)

Update: she ate a little bit of the straw hay and also some of the smelly hay, which I wasn’t keen to give her but I tried to give it again and the poor thing ate it. Tomorrow early morning hopefully I’ll get the new hay

Emergency! Please advise (out of hay temporarily)

Also, before anyone suggests I absolutely do not have access to any farm or anything right now. It’s 6:30pm it’s really dark and I can’t go looking for hay..I have a garden with grass but I can’t be sure if the soil has pesticides or not and my bunny has never grazed on the grass before that’s...

Emergency! Please advise (out of hay temporarily)

I’ve run out of hay for my bunny. Long story short one bag of hay turned out to be very smelly and possibly full of fungus. My rabbit refused to eat it. I don’t feed her pellets so don’t have those and I can’t find good quality pellets in my country anyway. They all have corn and grains in them...

How to treat a rabbit bite?

Hi guys, thanks for you replies. The bite bruise healed and I’m fine, I didn’t get a tetanus shot either as the skin didn’t break. I do have one question. Just now my bunny made this sound. She’s not in any obvious pain, and acting totally normal otherwise, but I went to pick up her poo using...
