    Champagne D'argents, anyone??

I had a champagne that I got at a rescue - I know this is months behind but there's no other replies. Her personality was sweet beyond words, but she shed more than my other buns.

    Effects of electrolyte/electrolite

When Brigitte was ill and on a lot of antibiotics, I gave her 1/4 cup of electrolyte solution with a splash of cranberry juice daily. Unfortunately, at that time, she had to be force fed anything that I gave her so I don't know how much she enjoyed it but the cranberry is supposed to make it...

Wanted: bunny foster home until March

Korr_and_Sophie wrote: I agree about the vet visit. And she should supply proof of funds for any vet emergencies as well, and write up a contract. Though she might not have funds to go to a boarder (who'd want to put their buns with a bunch of noisy dogs anyway?), you might want to talk to...

Neighbor asked to borrow some rabbit pellets

I'm so sorry this happened, Leaf, but I want to repeat everyone else's condolences, and you did everything you could have. Without you, she may never have had any chance at all to have and try to raise these kits. It's a miracle that buns can do this on their own out in the wild, isn't it?

Neighbor asked to borrow some rabbit pellets

I'm sorry the babies passed away. :rainbow::rainbow: They knew happiness with you though, rather than living their short lives frightened and scared of everything.

Neighbor asked to borrow some rabbit pellets

Grooming yourself really does seem to put bunnies at ease. If you feel weird doing bunny actions, brushing your hair in front of them seems to be the same thing. Once I start doing it, if the buns aren't sleeping then they start to do it too. It's just like saying, "hey, I'm relaxed. Time to...

Neighbor asked to borrow some rabbit pellets

That disgusts me. But so does killing any animal. I just can't believe how horrible I feel reading that...

Neighbor asked to borrow some rabbit pellets

I'm trying to figure out what bunnies have to do with deer slaughter as well... so what, he brings the rabbits with him so if he can't shoot a deer he can at least shoot something? ...sorry, I can't help but be angry about the situation. The babies are adorable, and I hope everything goes...

Why can't we all just get along?

I'll get more when I can find a picture of Brigitte and Nuge that I like. I ran out of bunpics in photobucket, lol.

Why can't we all just get along?

So, here's the backstory.... Once upon a time, there was Nuge. He was so cute and friendly. But I figured he got lonely when I wasn't home. So I contacted Midwest Rabbit Rescue (awesome folks!!) and they had a bunch of REWs that really needed a home. I wasn't able to afford the adoption...

    Post Neuter Question!!

Martin (neutered at maybe 3 years old) stopped hating me after his neuter (2 years ago). He's back to hating me again because of the move, but it's not nearly as bad.

1st cut tim hay vs. 2nd cut tim hay

I kept the bale I bought in my trunk, and put chunks of the bale (as needed) into one of those big storage bins. I did see a hay bale sized storage bin once at Target though, so that might be an option, too.

Guinea pig sitting... anything I should look out for?

Thank you for the resources. :)

Guinea pig sitting... anything I should look out for?

I know they're not bunnies... but this cavy is just soooo cute, and I think many of you folks have knowledge of them, too. Any general advice or things I should be especially concerned with? I gave him some of the bun bun's hay and he LOVES it. :) he likes their timothy pellets better than his...

RIP: A better life for Brigitte

The forum has been seriously bonkers for me for the past week. This is what I was going to post. About what happened: Nuge was with her the entire time when we were at the vet. We had the vet euthanize her right with us, because I wanted to be there with her. The vet gave her anesthetic in...

RIP: A better life for Brigitte

Tomorrow, sadly, we are taking her to the vet to be euthanized. She definitely not doing well, but I can't stand keeping her in this condition. She's only going to get worse, and probably slower than any of us want it to happen. She doesn't want to drink her water as much any more, and she's...

RIP: A better life for Brigitte

I forgot to mention that it is a brain stem infection, not EC that is taking her. It seemed so unimportant when I got back from the vet. She's still here. I'm wondering if she's going to hang on longer than the vet thinks she will. I'm so afraid of coming home and her not being around any more.
