    Sore hocks help!

My dwarf polish boy got sore hocks a while ago, but I caught it early. He just needed a change of flooring (think X-Large ridiculously fluffy dog beds. I found a sale😉). I gave him a couple of peppermint tea foot soaks. Healed nicely. My angora girl has so much padding on her hocks I think it...

    Mental/behavioral effects on health

I mean, I guess it could work🤔 I’m seriously considering going without spaying for now, but I’m still a bit nervous. I have kept rabbits in the past, but this is my first time bonding rabbits myself. It’s still a good idea to spay my female for long term health (and she can be a sprayer...

    Am I neglecting my bunnies?

Sure🤗 I should warn you though, the Oxbow mat can be a pain to clean if any of the mess gets under it. In those cases I like to use a tarp instead. I just heard about this mat from another thread (forgot which one). It’s a bit pricey, but something to look at. I might look into it for Olaf in...

    Mental/behavioral effects on health

I want to bond my rabbits (neutered male/ unspayed female) but I need to get my female spayed (which is a dreadful, very expensive pain to do in Alaska) and upon first introductions in the bathtub my female proceeded to continuously spray the entire bathtub, sprinkler style🤦🏽‍♀️

    Mental/behavioral effects on health

My word! Take care of yourself! Psych2Go is YouTube channel for mental health. It’s helped me and I was a wreck (now I’m a functional wreck). Look into it, please! You can’t give your rabbits everything sometimes and it’s ok. Try not to lose sleep over it. Just do your best🤗

    Mental/behavioral effects on health

Well, you can think of it in the same light as a dog. A dog gives you the puppy eyes when it wants your food, it limps on walks so you will carry it, a pile of other dramatics for other things. Same thing, different species.

    Mental/behavioral effects on health

Honestly, I think it’s behavioral. I’ve heard of rabbits doing this sort of thing for attention. She might be manipulating you to get what she wants.

    Am I neglecting my bunnies?

I definitely recommend an xpen. They tend to be cheaper and way easier to clean than cages/kennels and such setups. This is my transition (key word: TRANSITION. As in very, very temporary) setup for my angora. It’s 12 square feet and around 3 feet high (it’s a dog xpen). She can jump it when she...

    Setting up for new rabbits

I don’t think it’s washer safe, but it’s quite easy to wipe or spray down with a hose (or shower head if you can’t use the hose for over half the year like me). The one in the link is 42.25” x 39” x 1.75”. It’s the XL one. The cat litter mat in the other link is washer safe.

    Setting up for new rabbits

I wouldn’t necessarily recommend puppy pads for floor covering, but it ultimately depends on the rabbit. My angora isn’t compelled to shred puppy pads, so I can get away with it with her which is fantastic since she’s not spayed yet and can be a bit of a sprayer on occasion. My dwarf rabbit on...

    Good litter boxes

I will say, a corner litter box can work depending on the size of the litter box, the size of the rabbit, and the number of rabbits. They usually don’t work because they’re almost always too small. My personal favorite, particularly for my satin angora (Felicia) who’s a big bun, is the...

Lucky bamboo, which not actually bamboo, is also considered, but I don’t specifically recall why😅
