Worried for pregnant English Angora Doe

http://www.ustream.tv/channel/e-turn There they are, cam back up and running! a couple have eyes open now but mostly they are fat little jumping beans still. Couple days and they'll venture out of the box I bet. If anyone can see the colours well enough, I'm thinking we have blacks...

Worried for pregnant English Angora Doe

I will get it up and running again tonight, cleaning down there I unplugged everything and didn't get it all goin' again. They are doin' great. I never mentioned that there were either two hiding too well in the fur when i initially counted or she had two more later, but there are eight...

    Dwarf New Zealand White?

I really appreciate all the comments no matter what. Of course I will have my fingers crossed for that story of the guy who made it :) Can't help that... But in any case I am more prepared for a less than perfect ending than I was before. This last week I had become very hopeful for the...

    Dwarf New Zealand White?

Thanks Dragonflye. I just hit google. Hydrocephalus does occur in rabbits, either by "a autosomal recessive,(back to google on that one) associated with dwarfing." or a Vitamin A deficiency in the dam whichshould show upas still born young. But I think this may be barking up the right tree. He...

    Dwarf New Zealand White?

I always just thought of him as a "runt" until recently. I wasn't sure if runts looked the same as their siblings but just smaller. Or like Nancy said, to look like another breed entirely. Which, to me, he has completely different characteristics all around. Either way, this little miracle...

    Dwarf New Zealand White?

We put the Doe with the Buck and allowed them to pair up two times, took about five to ten minutes, then we returned her to her cage. An hour later we brought her back to the buck for two more coverings, which only took five minutes or so and that was it. I really hope he makes it!

    Dwarf New Zealand White?

So Junior here, has a story. He was born on day 28 of his dams pregnancy, by himself on the wire. Mum had not made a nest or pulled hair but she did have loose hair and milk. So I pulled some of her fur and held her for him to nurse 3 times a day and kept him warm in the house. On Day 31 of...

Worried for pregnant English Angora Doe

I set the cam back up, right above her nestbox since it will be a while before those babies emerge from it. Mostly just see a bunch of moving wool. It has IR lights too, the peace of mind 12 bucks can give you... Here is the link http://www.ustream.tv/channel/e-turn

Worried for pregnant English Angora Doe

The webcam just streamed, didn't record anything. We did get to watch she seemed to have no difficulty at all. I can put the cam back in her cage if anyone wants to watch them grow up? I just stream through Ustream.com so I don't have to use wires from her house to my computer! I can set it...

Worried for pregnant English Angora Doe

Well she just had her babies, 6 of them. They all appear to be in good health. Everyone is fine! Mum handled it all with no trouble and has held condition so far. She did it right when i went down there to feed, like "finally you're here!" and into her box she went and twenty minutes later...

Worried for pregnant English Angora Doe

She is doing really well, still no babies but we're close! Her condition has come leaps and bounds and she seems so happy. She began busily making a nest about five days ago, so i supplied her with a nestbox early, she has since arranged and re-arranged it. Few more days, I am much more at...

Worried for pregnant English Angora Doe

Angers me to see animals treated like this at all, let alone the thoughtless, irresponsiblebreeding. Some people should not be trusted with animals. I've learned from some rabbit people locally, that this woman is known for her less than respectable practices and has run into problems with...

Worried for pregnant English Angora Doe

The vet palpated and could not believe she could be pregnant in her condition but said she still was. She was very skittish at first but has warmed up a lot and now seeks her treats and affection. We have shaved her, done her toe nails and have a nest box ready, i installed a webcam so i can...

Worried for pregnant English Angora Doe

I was at a Seed Swap which apparently was also a small animal swap, mostly chicks and ducks. There was this truck which had a Rabbit in the back, of course drawn to it, we checked it out. In a wire cage in the pouring rain it was soaking wet, even being an Angora with the wet you could see how...

    Where do I start?

I just wanted to add something. I am new to Rabbits too. After attending a few rabbit shows to get to know some local breeders and volouteering in their rabbitries to learn about Rabbits, I now have five bunnies. All of them but one was older and somewhat skittish but a few weeks later, from...

    Baby Bunny, need help, advice

I've pulled hair from the doe, she was very receptive to this and the baby now seems to be staying warm, she fed him when I put him back from warming him up, I think she has accepted him. I have a vet on standby for the doe, right now she does not seem to be in distress, just not comfortable...
