I made the choice, now I am facing the consequences

I'm sorry I couldn't reply to this earlier - I hadn't seen it. I know exactly how you feel about downsizing, we ended up living at my parent's for over a year because we couldn't afford our own place, that was incredibly humbling and very painful - we sold everything that we could bare to part...

    Having trouble with Angoras

Definitely clip her before she kindles, German Angoras aren't like English/French/Giants they have wool and don't moult so you won't be able to pluck her. Maladrick - you are right, the larger the rabbit the longer you should wait (hence the 8mth suggestion instead of 6mth) to mate them so...

What to buy hubby for his 30th Birthday

I think buying someone experiences is always better in the long run than buying them 'stuff'. I took my hubby away for a couple of days to an eco cottage http://www.hairyhobbitcottage.co.nz/hhc/Photos.htmlwe don't get much time off together and it was fantastic, really different from our other...

    Having trouble with Angoras

You've had one success so try to think about that. Unfortunately it wasn't a good decision to try and breed a maiden doe at 2yrs, does really need to be mated by 1yr if they are going to be bred at all. Unfortunately when a maiden doe who is older than 1yr gets pregnant (by your choice or by...

    The Toi Toi Bunnies

I currently have one gorgeous buck + 2 lovely does on hold. Preston is a 2.5yo pedigree English Angora buck who come to me with felted matts right to his skin all over his body, he couldn't move his back legs properly they were so bad. He also had untrimmed nails, some that wrapped around from...

    Keeping Dexta warm?

Could you pop a snug cardboard box in there for him to sleep in? My boy sleeps inside his box, it's just tipped up with a 'door' cut into it. I thought he'd play with it and destroy it but he's decided it's his bedroom. It'll add an extra layer of insulation and if it's snug enough his body temp...

I made the choice, now I am facing the consequences

:feelbetter:Hey Amy, I lost my hometwo years ago - a lovely house which was very much our home, it was really really hard - we loved that place and to make things worse we moved out at exactly the same time we received a diagnosis for our special needs son. 2 years on welivein a smaller rented...

Help - what breed of bunny - and care for it?

I'm probably a bit late here but I wouldn't recommend seeing a dog groomer for a rabbit with an English Angora type coat, their fur doesn't do well with clippers (German Angora is a completely different story on the other hand) it's too light and clogs blades. You're probably far better to do it...

    Hello!

Aw thanks! He's even fluffier now - that picture's a few weeks old. But I have to wait for my camera to get fixed before I can share his increasing cuteness. Hartley bun - here are the frogs just for you: (those two have passed recently but the two I have are just the same)

Hi, I'm fairly new to rabbits, I began researchingEnderby Island Rabbits and English Angorasat the end of last year, they're veryrare breeds hereand I was fascinated by each -despite being polar opposites! Irecently rehomed a smoochy2yo English Angora Buck, Preston. Preston came to me with...
