That picture is gorgeous! :)I love rainbows, though I don't see them very often. However, there was one time when I was witness to the most beautiful one though...three years ago. My sister and I were driving my son to Toronto so he could attend college, and I must admit, being a mom, I was prettyanxious for him. He was going to a new place where he knew no one, was going to be living in a room in someone's basement, and had to surviveentirely on his student loan. This, combined with thefact it was his first step toward being completely independent - and would be living several hundred miles away - was a bit hard on both of us.

So we finally arrived in Oakville (just outside of Toronto where he was going to be attending school) and deposited all of his things in the tiny(!) room he'd rented. Then we headed out to the local Loblaws to get him started with groceries and a few other necessities. My sister and I had a riot picking out all sorts of things for him, while Stephen (being *a guy* :p) didn't really care one way or the other, just so long as he hada stockpile of spaghetti on hand. After over an hour in the store we finally headed out to the parking lot (wondering the entire way if we'd be able to fit everything in the car) and proceeded to cram it all in. It had rainedoff and on for most of the afternoon, and it was now almost sunset, with the clouds finally breaking in the horizon. As I turned to grab another bag from the cart, I had this weird sense that something wasgoing on...so I turned around andnoticed that almost everyone in the parking lot had stopped what they were doing and were lookingup atthe sky.And there, off in the distance, were the most radiant twin rainbows I'd ever seen. They were absolutely stunning, filled with color and glowing as the sunframed their image. And this might sound odd, but I had the most wonderful sense that it was a sign...thateverything was going to be okay for my son, there was no need to worry about him, and he was just beginning a glorious journey.

hehe...that's my rainbow story...;)

Spectacular pictures! I may have to change our wallpaper. This is what we currently have, selected by my husband

Yep, that's the sort of captivating moment that makes life worth living for me.

Btw, your mention of spaghetti reminded me of ramen noodles. I still eat the stuff. It's cheap, easy to fix, and good, imo. :p
