She actually growled and made a hissing noise at me.

I decided to try one last time to trance her so I could clip her nails.I've read that wrapping them up in a towel works, so I didthat. She didn't mind being carried around swaddled like anewborn baby, that's for sure. But as soon as I flipped herover she went nutso! And to make things worse, being wrapped in thetowel, she felt really trapped I guess.

Anyway, she went behind the wall unit and I felt so bad I brought herover a yogurt drop, she took it.....But when I went to stroke her head(which she loves), she just about attacked me! She's always been sogentle and affectionate. I'm worried she's going to hate me for good.

I got her up this morning, and she seems happy enough....Running allover and playing. But normally she stops for a cuddle here and therewhen I'm having my coffee, she hasn't even come into the room yet. Mindyou, I can hear her tearing up paper in my daughter's room....So Iguess she's busy.

Please tell me she'll get over it!

Oh she'll get over it. Rue is very mad at mewhen i clip her nails, she even goes as far as to refuse Craisins! AndSully always grunts and attacks me after i clip his nails. itsshortlived, believe me.

Sprite does this a lot, sometimes if she even thinks I might touch her and she's more grouchy than normal!

All my buns hate having their nails clipped. They get overit. I give them a treat before I put them down, and then Ileave them alone and let them approach me when they've forgivenme. The more they get used to nail clippings, the fastertheir forgiveness comes.:)

i wrap my bun in a afgan blanket....so his clawsstick out of the holes then hold him up on my leg his back against meand cut his nails that way...i've tried to hold him in that tranceposition....he flips around im afraid he will break his back this otherway seems to work.

Pristine looks at me like I'm the devil when I clip her nails. :(

I almost got an entire paw trimmed on Boo theother night. It was the first time ever that I was able totrimrabbit nails. However, he got mad and bit me,the snot.

I am having no luck at all trying to trance Boo. Every time Iturn him over he freaks out. I don't even attempt it withBinky right now because she's a little loco :)

I had almost the same thing last night except Itake Jordi and Wesley to the vet to get theirs done. Jordi was nothappy and actually refused a papaya treat from me when we got home. shekept hiding every time I came in the room :(. But this morning she washer usual curious self.

I'm sure she'll get over it. Rabbitscan be so cute though when they're angry (once you get over worryingabout it). Tiny wll refuse a banana and wait until my back isturned to go grab it and eat it. Tio and Kyo have been knownto throw craisins or raisins at us. Miss Bea gives me thebutt....and refuses treats too.

I've been stomped at, thumped off, flicked off, and generally made to feel like a heel for doing things they need.

Just be glad you weren't giving medicine....I hate having to wipe thatoff the wall (only kidding....they usually get me - not the wall).

It might take a day or 2, but she'll forgive you.

Bunnies can be such little wierdos when it comes to handling them.

We recently got a new bunnie. She a New Zealand and weighs 9-10 pounds. She the biggest of our rabbits....and to tell the truth, is kind ofintimidating (large bunnie phobia I guess:?). She the sweetest, butdoes NOT like to be picked up. We're working at it slowly, but it tookher 2 days to get over me picking her up the last time. Good thingshe's got a cute tushie for all of the "butt" that I get.

The boys are like that, they won't forgive mefor atleast a couple hours. Cookie (RIP) would just lay on her backlike 'Get it over with, I don't care!' and didn't really have a badreaction to it.

But yeah, I get the bunny butt :bunnybutt: from the boys.

You guys were right....She seems to be over it.

However, I didn't even get one nail cut....They're so bad Ican hear her coming down the hallway....tik tik tik tik...Hardwoodfloors ;).

Well, I'll just have to concede to taking her to the vet for nailclipping. The vet has no trouble with her at all when we take her. Shehas the disapproval thing going on, but no hissing etc...

I was so terrified that she would go back to being scared anduntrusting like she was when we first got her, after last night. She'sso affectionate and loving, I really don't want anything to changethat.

The same thing happens to me. I say that I amgoing to cut their nails by myself, but I always end up giving in andjust taking them to the vet.

hey have you ever tried to scratch and massagehis face??? when its time to cut Lennie's nails i massage his face andmy sister cuts them. Lennie i guess likes the feeling of me massaginghis face and doesn't resist.

Aww. Glad to hear she got over it!

Misty is like that - she holds a grudge for hours. Cookie gets mad, but he forgets in about 2 mins.

I couldn't do Cookie's nails for about 6 months after I got him (he's atrouble bun). I used to take him to the pet store becausethey do it there. Then, one person there really traumatizedhim and I swore never to go back so I was determined to cut his nailsmyself.

He fights and kicks and bites, but once he figures out that I'm NOTletting him get off the table, he tolerates it. I set him uphigh ona table/counter top on a towel. Everytime hetries to get off the towel I pick him up and put him back. Ihave someone hold him up while I get to his nails. He fightsHARD at first - and usually I'm not cutting while he is fighting, I'mjust getting him used to me holding his feet. This wholeprocess takes about an hour (with breaks for him AND me in betweenfeet).

Good luck if you try again!
