Grooming

Anyone have any tips on grooming? Howdo you brush your bunnies tummies? Mine seem to be ticklish(or irritated) with me brushing their bellies...???

Mine won't sit still long enough for me to brush her. She's always, GO GO GO! Just like me

Same here, especially with Pernod. No way will she let me touch her tummy :X

Mine don't like their butts brushed either.

Belly most vulnerable part of a prey animal, hence reluctance to be touched in that area. Some of mine will permit it after being tranced, others won't.

If I wanna brush Corkys tummy (once the hair grows back) I don't think i'll have much trouble....



He's to the point he smiles now whenever I flip him on hisback...within seconds out come them teeth like he's smiling...the moreI rub his tummy...the more teeth I see!

Apollo is ok with me brushing his tummybut not for too long. I sit on the floor with my legs out in front ofme. I flip Apollo and lay him/hold him with my legs. That way I haveone hand to rub his head and the other to brush him with.

The Twins and Nibblets won't let me brush their tummies...yet.

Haven't tried it yet.....but I thinkPebbles wouldn't mind it. We handle her so much,that she would trust us in doing something like that.

Same with Emmy. She gets really mad if I do that. But, it's ok. She lets me brush the side of her belly, but thats all. =)

Emmy is'nt too comfortable being flipped to her back. She gets jumpyall of a sudden. I tried letting her be comfortable with it - but Istopped. I didn't want her to stress out.

I use to have a wire-type brush that I brushedTiny B with. I switched over to a softer one, and if/when i brush herbelly she is okay. I usually don't though. The only time she lets meput her on her back is when I'm trimming her nails. She hates havingher bottom brushed as well, but I usually do it anyway, espically sinceshe needs all the help she can get when she sheds. Poor thing alwayshas hair sticking out when she sheds. She hates it, and I usually getcut open with her back nails. Kind of use to it now. :?
