I just wanted to take a moment to introducemyself and say what a great forum this is. This community isoutstanding in both information and warmth. My name is Ellenand I work for Rabbitstop.com. I am the Director of PR andProgram Development. In other words I get to spend money tohelp shelters and rescues for both rabbitstop and ferretdepot (ourother company). I love my jobbut I love my familymore...I am the proud mama of 4 dogs, 4 cats, 2 buns, 2 guineas, 7birds and 2 largetanks full of fishies. Everyone isadopted/rescued but the fish. I also have a beautiful 7 monthold baby boy that loves his furries! My husband is the AnimalControl Officer and Assistant Manager for our local Humane Society soneither of us have self control and we have fostered many a speciesover the years. As far asourbunniesgo...we have a blk&whtx-largerex(Darn Good Bunny)and a wht netherlanddwarf(Chuckie)-both saved from the brink ofdoom...! I am not normally this longwinded but its a lot of animals!

My question is...What do your rabbits diets consist of? As amama you always want to make sure you are doing the right thing for thebabies! Thanks!!!!!!

Welcome. :) Ive got about 20 rabbits, 1 dog, 3 cats, 3 birds, 2 guinea pigs, and 3 aquariums. :)

My feeding is kinda simple and boring. My rabbits get 1/2 a cup to 1cup of pellets per day day. Veggies as an accasional treat. And wholegrain conditioner every day. Along with timothy hay every other day. ialso accasionally add vitamins, and acid pack 4-way to the water. :)

A couple of good links for feeding and care:

We feed an ounce of pellets per pound of rabbit. We give hay once a week, more during molt and extremely cold temperatures.

Once a weeks we give treats.

Kits and Mama's we given continuous hay, and mama we give treats daily.

Our current feed is 17% fiber and 17% protein and we raise holland lops.

What % and treats does everyone use to condition for shows?
