Excess Cecotropes When Fed Fresh Veggies!

Thank you everyone! I readjusted her pellets amount and waited till I didn’t see extra cecotropes. The day before yesterday I tried feeding her a tiny amount of romaine again but yesterday noticed she even had a small amount of diarrhea so I didn’t feed her anymore. If all is normal again...

    Sore Hocks? Maybe?

Hi everyone, yesterday I just realized my 12 week old Netherland dwarf has a tiny bald spot on the very back of her hind legs. She is not overweight, she’s actually a bit underweight. It doesn’t look extremely red, and it’s right at the side of the back heel so not even on the bottom. She has...

Excess Cecotropes When Fed Fresh Veggies!

Thank you all so much for the inflrmation. I am definitely going to try weighing her the next few days to see if she is indeed losing weight, or am I just being too paranoid. She definitely is growing and getting bigger, but she just seems so bone-y to me! During our vet visit the doctor did...

Excess Cecotropes When Fed Fresh Veggies!

Thank you for all that info! I was considering reducing the pellets a bit since she usually has enough pellets to last her most of the day before feeding her at night again, but she seems very skinny. I can feel her back bone, legs and ribs when I pet her so I was worried about reducing the...

Excess Cecotropes When Fed Fresh Veggies!

Thanks for the info! I originally thought that as well so started limiting the pellets. Once I stopped seeing excess cecotropes I tried the green lettuce in small amounts. Once I did, within 24 hours I started seeing excess cecotropes again =(

    Bunny Won’t Leave her Cage

The past few days I’ve left it open for her from 2-3pm right up until 12am. There was a day I left it open for her from 10am-12am as well. She seems to be a bit more active between 2am-5am though. I read they are most active at dawn and dusk but she seems to sleep through dusk.. well sleep most...

    Bunny Won’t Leave her Cage

Hi everyone! I’m new to this forum and hoping to get some insight from all the experienced bunny parents! I’m trying to eventually free roam my bunny, we just got her a few weeks ago, she is a 12 week old Netherland dwarf. When we first got her, we would block off a small area for her to come...

Excess Cecotropes When Fed Fresh Veggies!

She has unlimited jay, way more than she can finish normally and I’ve been limiting her pellets to 1/3 cup. I know for babies some suggest unlimited pellets, but there are concerns whether she’ll eat enough hay so I still do limit her pellets. Although for Netherlands many suggest only 1/4 cup...
