I have two lionheads bonded one male and one female. Monty the male(about 5) who I had first was more or less litter trained except for the occasional incident outside his cage. Jessica the female(about 3) seems to go wherever she wants. It makes cleaning the cage (C&C cage) a much longer task...
I currently have a cage setup connected to a x-pen so they can go in and out as they please. It gives them a little more room. However I am in the process of building a NIC cage that will be 3 X 4 panels and 3 high as i'm going to build a large some shelving to hop up to.
Having someone stop by like that would be fine. We usually take the rabbits over to my inlaws. Though if we go away together I've also just had friends come over and feed\check in on them.

While in general I agree about pet stores. I do trust this one as I used to work there and everyone there does care about the animals more than making a buck. They are the ones who even initially told me that the treats were OK to give to the rabbits but only in...
The rabbits seem to know if it isn't good. I had a (new)bag of hay the same kind they always eat but they would have nothing to do with it. I switched it out for another new bag and they went right at it.

Any time. Here is a great rabbit info site that has info on bonding. It says they should be spayed or neutered first though Jessica isn't. But I recently learned here that I need to get it done since not doing so increases her chances of get reproductive cancers by 80%! Doing so also helps with...
