    The jab my rabbits have is for both 1and 2 together. Have a feeling myxy is part of the cocktail too.

    Yes it is in the UK, and rabbits need annual vaccination against the 2 strains 1 and 2. Think spread by mosquitos and flies? And contact with wild rabbits

    The advice above seems very thorough and sound but just offering my experience... I got 2 young male rabbits from 2 seperate places on the same day( think they were around 8 weeks old but not sure but definitely young) and they got on well from the start though after a few weeks continual...

    Carrots, banana, melon, raisins, wild food ( though don't what that'd be in US) grapes, apple and I think parsnips ok

    Have decided against, and vet in agreement. So fingers crossed we can manage his condition for foreseeable.

    Many thanks for your thoughts. The provisional plan would be to get x-ray done first to confirm it is arthritis , as they wouldn't operate without this , though I have seen 3 vets at the practice about this and all think it is arthritis. He is on daily painkillers at the moment so hopefully not...

    Had the same with one of my rabbits. Some pellets contain mint which is high in c. Other than that I avoid cabbage, kale, very little broccoli etc

    My rabbits (in England) get vaccinated annually for both HVD 1 and 2 as think its deadly. Here in England its done in one dosage

    Leg amputation

    My dear lop 8 year old has increasing trouble with one back leg which now can't support him so he flops down frequently. Vets think it is arthritis so we are planning to x-ray to confirm and then amputate the leg. I think alternative in near future would be euthanasia. Has anyone had experience...

    Rabbit absolutely REFUSES to be syringe fed Critical Care?

    One of My rabbits is on a daily painkiller for arthritis. It is fairly sweet but getting syringeinto his mouth every day wasn't fun for him so I found mashing it into some banana which he loves or melon /apricot or whatever was a much easier way to administer it.
