I like the idea of PET in the ear.
I also tatoo with my rabbitry prefix FTF or FT and the number of kit....ie..FTF16.
I record on the doe's breeding record card the numbers I used on the kits in the litter.
Thats what I was thinking... pull a kit and then the other one. I'm actually glad she was such a good mom and the kits are adorable! I can't wait to breed her again!
I have a first time mother doe that doesn't seem to want to wean the kits!  They are 8 weeks old in a few days and she still is nursing them. Yes, they are eating solid foods and hay but are still nursing every night when I go in to do the evening feeding. I'm wondering what is the best...
I had a kit I thought was a peanut and every day I expected to find it had died butit was still alive. Of course it was the friendliest little thing! At about 12 weeks and half the normal size my sister took it and I warned her I didn't know how long it would live and may have problems...
I'd go with the American Fuzzy Lop.........but I"m biased!;) The fur isn't as bad as you would think...I prefer the big chunks of fuzz that you can pick up to all the millions of little hairs everywhere...

She has free access to food, hay and water....thats not it.
I don't think she is a peanut - the head looks normal and inproportion. I did check her teeth and her lower jaw looks alittle undershot but I watched her eat pellets today and she got themin and chewed and down.
She seems to pee and...
This is a question for you breeders...Over thelast few weeks I noticed one kit in my last litter isn't reallyprogressing. She is still tiny - less than half the size ofher siblings. She is 9 weeks old now, eating hay and pelletsand drinking on her own. She is not gaining weight or growingat all...
Two of the solids are going to be blue - therunt that is very dark with lighter inside the ear is going to bechestnut (from his sire). I have another litter dueWed. I'm hoping for broken blues from her since I didn't getany in this litter!
The are born naked like everyone else! The picon the site is with the kitsabout a week oldso they have some fur starting to grow in. They'll be niceand fuzzy by about 6 weeks and I"ll pick some favorites then forshow. I'm looking for some bigger heads and nice crowns in myline and hoping to add...
Gosh thats hard! It took forever for me to think of my name...hmmm Palominos are kind of gold.... how about "24 Carrot Rabbity" ...just kidding...I"ll try and think of somthing better...
My blue doe had a nice litter of 5 (1 DOA - apeanut I think). The last owner told me she was a "terrible"mother. Glad to prove them wrong! She is tryingvery hard to take care of this demanding nestbox crowd. I'venever seen a doe pull somuch fur for a nest...poor baby isbald! I've had to help...
Starlight.........
I think I'll be at Lebanon in Feb. Hopefully Sat if I can get off work, definately Sunday!
Hopefully I"ll have some kits for show and sale!
Ah, thanks for the news.
Seems like a little more competition would have been more exciting. There is always next year!
It looks like it was a great time! Wish I had more vacation days from work so I could go!
