Ok, I'm looking at bunnyrabbit.com and they have the EZ TAT and RabbiTat. Which is going to be the best? I've pretty much decided that I want the pen style so I'll be able to do touch ups whenever I need to. Hopefully there will be more bunnies in the near future that need some ink work! Does it...
Thank you for making me feel so welcome here!
Nancy, I would love to see pics of Peter! Do you happen to know anyone near my area with Chins for sale? I'll be looking for a husband for Lola soon...
I will be doing ARBA shows. I've emailed a couple show secretaries so far trying to get more info.
Thanks again for all the info. I read that in showmanship, the exhibitor does all the looking over the rabbit. I wont get thrown into something like that without knowing it will I?
I'm sorry if these questions seem stupid...
With the pen, how hard to you have to push it on the ear to make sure it works. Is it the normal pressure of writing with an ink pen? I'm planning to do this myself instead of having someone else do it.
What kind of nutrition does a show bunny need to enhance coat etc.? Do you give them a standard rabbit feed and just add extra vitamins/ minerals? What do all of you out there give your rabbits to enhance them before a show? And I don't mean meat rabbits....
Thank you for your responses! I have more questions! Where do you do the tattoo in their ear? Does it hurt really bad? Is the EZ TAT less painful than the clamps?
Can someone explain to me what happens at a show and how you show your rabbit? I would like to show my bunny but I havn't gone to watch a show yet. Some advice and info for a rabbit show newbie?
I like the idea of doing the pen like method. It sounds much less painful. My bunny is currently 8 weeks old. Is there a cut off age that you shouldn't tattoo them?
Hi Everyone!
I am brand new to rabbits but I am so hooked! I only have one right now but she will be getting a husband later on. She is an 8 week old American Chinchilla named Lola. Love her!! I am planning to start taking her to shows next year but I should probably go watch some first....
I am new to rabbits but I am looking into showing. I've read that to show they have to be tatooed. How is that done? Can I do it myself like we do the goats? Or does someone certified at a show have to do it?
