Signs of stress in a rabbit

Putting the rabbit in another room is not an option at the moment. The dog and rabbit are NEVER left alone together. The only time the are able to interact is when Jack is in his cage. Gabby (the puppy) mostly tries to chew on the toys that hang in Jack's cage. She really likes the gourd pieces...

Signs of stress in a rabbit

So Friday morning we brought home our newly adopted puppy. Because the puppy is timid of just about everything. We are doing a "two week shut down". The one thing that really holds the puppy's attention is Jack. Obviously we are redirecting her attention as much as possible but I'm not sure how...

Does anyone else like seeing their rabbits destroy toys?

Jack doesn't seem to chew on cardboard. I put an empty tissue box in there a few days ago other than him moving it it has gone in touched. When I first hot him I put a toilet paper tube in there it was also untouched. Although to be fair the toilet paper tube had to be taken out a couple days...

Does anyone else like seeing their rabbits destroy toys?

I love seeing Jack destroy his toys. I am happy when it's time to ad new ones in the cage because I know those $5 toys (Actually I don't think any of them have even cost me that much) are saving me hundreds of dollars in the long run. While Jack is chewing on them he is keeping his teeth...

    Stomping?

I honestly don't see how it would help as they will still here the noise but won't be able to see where it's coming from. I know a lot of people in the bird community recommend covering the cage of a bird because they will start thrashing around the cage if something wakes them up and that...

    Stomping?

The thumping is to warn other bunnies of danger. It is likely something he is hearing that is startling him. He's not a bird it's not like a passing light is startling him. It won't do any good to cover him but insulating under his cage with fleece like you suggested would probably be a good thing.

Not exactly new but it's been a while.

A picture of his current set up. Don't worry it's not permanent well the amount of hay is but the actual cage is just a temporary one.

Not exactly new but it's been a while.

Jack is good he is extremely friendly which is great. He gets most of his out of cage time when the other animals are being fed and cared for as that's the easiest time to ensure his safety. All predatory animals are outside and the only animals inside are him and my cockatiels. When it's their...

Both the adults had ears dragging on the ground.

    Safe vegetables

Currently Jack is on alfalfa hay (he is between 5 and 8 weeks old so alfalfa is good for now) and Purina rabbit chow pellets. He also gets those condensed Timothy hay blocks. I know lettuce and parsley are good for bunnies and that carrots and fruits should be limited because of the sugar. I...

    English lop kit?

This is Jack Skellington. I adopted him on Saturday from the humane society and brought him home Sunday morning. His cage paper said 5 weeks but his adoption papers said he is 8 weeks. So he's somewhere between there. He was surrendered with two other rabbits. Both adults apparently they didn't...

Not exactly new but it's been a while.

So it's been about 6 years since I've been on this site. I left because I had to rehome my last bunny Freckles as the pet store I got her from lied about her age and breed. As a giant breed she grew too big for the place I was renting. I am returning because yesterday I adopted a baby bunny. He...
