She WILL NOT be picked up

Sorry, I haven't checked this thread in a little while. I'll give that suggestion a shot. She's been very good about going back into her cage at night (mostly because she now knows that its treat time if she goes in.) I happen to do wood carving, so I'll wear my kevlar gloves to protect...

She WILL NOT be picked up

I actually hadn't heard that advice before. Especially the football holding one! I'm actually her third owner. My friend got her from the pet store but ended up being allergic to her, so I adopted her. But they said that she was larger than the rest of the buns at the store and was kept...

She WILL NOT be picked up

I honestly think that my little girl is not meant to be caged up. No matter how much room she gets, she wants more. Her cage is a decent size right Its not that her cage is too small. She just wants to run free. But I can't let her do that, because I can't let her die like that :/

She WILL NOT be picked up

She'll be on my bed and will hop onto my lap when I'm on my desk chair. She likes to climb onto my shoulders and sit therefor a minute or two. She really seems to feel comfortable around me and to trust me its just being handled that she flipps out at.... :/

She WILL NOT be picked up

My little Jaina is EXTREMELY against being handled. I have tried every suggestion on this forum and every other I could find. I've posted about her before because of her attitude. But really if I had to describe a bunny as being "wild" well then... that would be my little Jaina. She's...

    Bed Time Issues

I had gotten her a larger cage about a week before I first created this thread. I was dog sitting for 2 weeks after her spaying (and she came with of course, and didn't care about the dog, who just wanted to play with her.) I got her a pen I could put around the cage because I couldn't let her...

    Bed Time Issues

Thank you for the answers!! I'm going to start giving her greens/pellets only at night, and that chin thing has helped a bit. She was trying to eat my chemistry textbook, and between doing that and nosing her out of the way (literally lol), she eventually understood that I didn't want her...

    Bed Time Issues

Hello again! My little girl, thank god, is getting spayed on Monday, so I'm hoping that'll help with this issue a bit... hopefully *fingers crossed* Getting her to go back in her cage is IMPOSSIBLE! I can bribe her with treats and all her favorites, but she'll just sit and stare at me...

    Toys for bunnies!

I found some ferret toys at Petco that Jaina LOVES! They're little "sports balls" (a basketball and a tennis ball" and they have little bells in them. I left the tags on too, and she loves to grab that and throw them around. I've done the toilet paper tube stuffed with hay, which kept her very...

    Cage Anxiety?

I feel better about it now. I was just worried that she would start to develop an aversion to her cage or something because she started doing this, and because she was stuck in it for 3 days before I adopted her. I'm not very good at having a strict routine for myself, but I could try to keep...

    Cage Anxiety?

Her cage is in my room right now, and where its located I don't have the space for anything like that :/ I considered that, but I don't think it would work out :/

    Cage Anxiety?

Hey all! Jaina seems to have some anxiety with being in her cage for extended periods of time. She's pretty much always has the ability to go in and out of it as long as I'm home. The only time I keep her in there are when I go to work/class or when I go to bed. When I wake up in the...

What vegetables do you feed your rabbit?

My girl LOVES her Arugula!! If I've made a salad and added that in, and she can still smell it on my hands, she'll run around the room and thump at me until I give hers some!!! I call it her "bunny crack," cause the minute she has it she gets insanely happy, and will be extremely insistent...

    Jaina and I :D

I'm not sure how to rotate the picture, since its right side up on my computer, so please excuse it being on its side!!!!!

    Jaina and I :D

Hello! I had posted about my young bunny, Jaina, a few weeks back. But I had done so without introducing ourselves to the forum!!! I got my little girl about 3 weeks ago, and she's 4-5 months old right now. I tried using the guide on this website, but I'm still not sure what breed she is...
