Special Needs Bunnies: Working With Head-Tilt

Following your story about Ringo helped me so much with my Twinkles. You and the advice of Pipp and Randy saved my sweet litle angels life! I had 2 vets totally give up on him, refusing to treat, tried to convince me that I should let him die. That was almost a year ago. I just gave him a...

Best remedy for very itchy skin? Vet checked for mites and fleas. Had a few fleas, darn cat! On Revolution but still terribly itchy. Thanks!

    Head Tilt-Twinkles

Thanks. I know I should be extremely happy with his progress. Just can't help myself wanting to make sure I am doing everything possible. If I can do anything for even the slightest improvement. I think I can honestly say I am a bit bunny crazy!!! I know Randy said he has treated for up...

    Dental Abscess Broken Jaw

Sorry, James. I have just recently started giving her a mix of alfalfa and timothy hay on vet's recommendation. Alfalfa to be removed when weight back to normal. It's hard to see if she actually swallows any, she sure tries, though! I am making sure it's always available. Thanks, Kathy

    Dental Abscess Broken Jaw

Thanks, everyone!!! Bon Bon has become very suspicious of everything I do, due to her multiple daily captures every day for the last couple of months. She does not like to be picked up. By the way, once I could not find her anywhere. I looked for over an hour to no avail. She finally gave...

    Head Tilt-Twinkles

Thanks. Dr Martinez had me up his ChlorPalm to see if it would make any difference along with a different antibiotic eye ointment, this will be the 4th different antibiotic we've tried for his eye. Unfortunately, Twinkles has decided he has had enough of his ChlorPalm. I was sneaking it on a...

    Dental Abscess Broken Jaw

Bon Bon had dental surgery a few months back to treat a very bad abscess. Two teeth were pulled from the lower middle section. The infection had invaded the jaw bone and part of it had to be removed. She was put on ChlorPalm to fight any remaininginfection and she was doing great. On a check up...

    Head Tilt-Twinkles

So, it's been a while and Twinkles seems to be doing quite well except for his eye. He is still on the ChlorPalm and eye ointment but his eye does not open at all anymore. We have tried a number of different eye ointments but they seem to have no effect whatsoever. Twinkles still has a bit of...

    Molar Spurs (Pipp)

Bon Bon went in to the vets yesterday as I was concerned about her weepy eye, considering she was recently in for the dental extraction which was aborted. The vet put some kind of dye in her eyes and checked to see if it came out of her nose. It did not and he advised washing the eye area...

    Molar Spurs (Pipp)

Pipp, this just ended here and I am going through a similar problem right now with both Twinkles and Bon Bon. I just gave them 1 cc of simethicone and they scampered off under the sofa. I have not seen either of them pee or poop the whole of yesterday. They are eating but not as much as...

Ringo and his Ongoing Story of Hope

I just don't understand this illness. It's so frustrating! Poor Ringo! Why does it come back? Twinkles was doing remarkably well, still on ChlorPalm, almost complete recovery. He was sitting and hopping with his head straight, with only the occasional tilting head, then he regressed, again...
