Shedding and strange behavior

Hello fellow rabbit owners!

My bunny has been shedding like crazy this week! Last night, he started acting very strange toward me. Lots of thumping, running away from me and hiding. The only time he will let me near him is if he is laying down in his hutch and wants his back scratched.

I'm afraid he has hair in his stomach, making him hurt. Does anyone have any ideas or tips to help me out?

Is he still eating, drinking, and pooping in normal amounts? Is the poop normal size and shape, and if not what does it look like and is there fur in it?

Thanks for the response! We watched him last night and he ate and finally defecated. His poop has some hair in it, but not a substantial amount. He seemed to be feeling better last night.

hair in his poop can be a sign of impending problems. Feed him some fresh pineapple or some dried papaya.
