picking up rabbits

Hi just wanted to ask all your opinions on this.My mum is a member on another forum and there is someone saying thatyou should pick rabbits up by their ears. My mum said never to pick arabbit up by their ears as it could damage their hearing. Can someonewith experience give us the correct information Thanks

How cruel! Your mum should tell whoever saidthat on the other forum to grab themselves by the ears and yank hard,see how they like it.

I think that gently placing your hands on your rabbits head and earswhile holding it is calming for the bunny, but to pick it up by theears is super horrible and the ears could easily rip away from the headif it was a large rabbit.
