Hello,

I adopted another bunny, she’s 5 months old. The shelter said that she was spayed and it is also stated in her medical records. My question is, her urine smells stronger than my other 2 rabbits. My other 2 bunnies are a mini Rex and a dwarf Netherland. The new bunny is a holland lop. Is her urine smelly because she’s a bigger rabbit or because she’s still young? Has anyone else experienced this?

It may be what she is eating. What are you feeding her?

Have you quickly introduced the veggies, or did you do it slowly? What type of hay? Is there blood in the urine?

If you introduced the veggies to fast, her body is trying to cope with it so inturn is getting rid of other fluid. That fluid could be a verify of things but she could also just be making her "mark"

Ok thank you. I hope that it’s just that I introduced her to veggies fast. I think she was just eating pellets and hay at the shelter.
