Heya, Since I am a first time bunny owner I figured this should be great place to join and ask questions when they come about. Getting a bunny was not a last minute choice or unplanned. I have been searching for the perfect bunny and finally found her.

I have had Dandelion for about 2 weeks now, (AKA: Little Dandy) She is a 7 week old, Holland Lop and so very sweet. I do have alot of questions though even after reading pages and pages online.

I think me and Dandy are still working on bonding. I lay with her alot, like now. And play on my netbook while she hops around. She likes to come to me, hop over my legs and even nudge me now and then. But she still does not seem want me to pet her. I dont try to pet her unless she is nudging my hand, I wiggle a finger and she hops away. I have only recently started to pick her up gently at least once day and sit down with her, holding her close and petting her gently. I dont want her to think, every time I pick her up its just to put her in a cage, or every time my hand is by her it means im going to pick her up.

Dandy has a small cage, but she has her own bedroom. The cage acts like more of a litterbox and hiding cave for her. The only time she is in the cage is at bed time or if we leave her home alone for longer than a moment. Short trips to the corner store, I just shut the bedroom door. Mostly because I have a cat who don't seem to mind the bunny, but I don't trust him at all hehe.

I am reading alot about Rabbit Condo's, and though she doesnt use a cage for long. I have started buying parts to build her her own condo lol.
