I'm planning adopting another rabbit later this year (probably in the fall), ideally I'd like it to be a friend for Sadie my netherland. The problem is, I was planning on adopting a larger rabbit, perhaps a french angora, or flemish giant.
How big, is too big of a friend for a netherland dwarf? I've never had a rabbit as small as my Sadie, I've only had large rabbits. There are so many restrictions I've had to deal with concerning a rabbit of Sadie's size; for instance she can't be in certain parts of the house, and she can't run loose unsupervised. All my large rabbits were loose most of the time as they wouldn't hide under the fridge like Sadie, or try and climb up onto the counters (Sadie is a mountaineer).
I will not be breeding her to a large rabbit and they will have their spaces (side by side), I just want to know if the size ratio would be to much for her during play time? Or if I should just keep her separated from whatever rabbit I get?
Suggestions my bunny friends.
