Hmm... I think the topic has turned into something way different from what the OP originally wanted to know....
I humbly don't think any rabbit owners (whether pet or livestock) should try to degrade another's efforts for their animals by calling it "selfish" and such. We all love our animals equally, just maybe are willing to do things others may not. "What is normal for the spider is chaos to the fly!" I think quote applies..
Back onto the original topic.. I hope that the OP's rabbit lives a happy life whether or not the OP decides to give his/her rabbit a "playdate" companion. Update us on your choice!

Point is this is way to dangerous. The op will make their own decision. The majority here are saying its not worth the trouble the situation will create.
